wellness reveal the most important trends
in the world next year.

Medicine (ACSM) publishes the results of the "Global Survey of Fitness
Trends." This is a comprehensive survey of thousands of fitness and
wellness professionals, including personal trainers, exercise physiologists,
and medical professionals. And gym
owners around the world. The
final report aims to monitor, assess, predict, and present new fitness trends
that impact the development of the sector itself.
Technogym South and
Southern Africa Marketing Manager Mike Hewan said: And in 2022, the world of fitness will continue to
feel its impact. This study reveals key fitness and wellness trends for the

The Top 9 Fitness
Trends Of 2022:
1. Wearable Technologies – They have been on the podium every
year since 2016 and are premiere standout trends for 2022.
2. Home Exercise Gym –
Fitness will be accessed in a completely new and hybrid way: people will work
out at home and in the gym, in the same way as they go to a restaurant and at
the same time use a home delivery service.
3. Outdoors - One of
the hottest growing trends, can be combined with indoor training.
4. Endurance training
with free weights - Before 2021, the surveys conducted included a category
described as “endurance training”. This description was deemed too broad
and was therefore dropped in 2020 in
favor of a more specific "weight training with free weights".
5. Exercise for Weight Loss - Maintaining a healthy, balanced
diet and staying active is the key to losing weight, maintaining and boosting
your metabolism.
6. Personal training -
Over the years, the image of personal
trainers has grown and become more accessible thanks to the Internet in fitness
clubs, as well as at home and at work with sports gyms. People finally understood that the role of a coach
was necessary to assess his condition, prescribe an appropriate training
program and recommend achievable goals according to specific needs.
7. High Intensity
Interval Training (HIIT) - This is a novelty that involves interval training
consisting of high-intensity interval training followed by moderate to
low-intensity rest periods.
8. Bodyweight training
- The global Covid19 pandemic and
resulting restrictions have encouraged the growth of bodyweight
training, virtual training and free weight training, among others, all both
can be done at home with the right
advice. Strength training uses body weight
as resistance, performing simple to complex movements.
9. On-Demand and Live
Online Fitness Classes - The success of this upward trend - with online
and virtual workouts - is undoubtedly due to the alternation of long periods of
lockdown and closure fitness center
door, but it opened up a new perspective
for the near future when the pandemic emergency has finally passed.
